Book Launch Event at the Romanian Academy
As a member of the Commission for Science and Technology of Microsystems, Daniel Lapadatu, the Technical Director of Alfa Rom Consulting, participated to the launch of volume "Advances in Micro- and Nanoelectronics", an event organised on 6th of November 2018 by and at the Romanian Academy.
The book, published by the Romanian Academy Publishing House, is volume 27 of the series "Micro- and Nanoengineering", which groups recent contributions of Romanian researchers working in their country or abroad. The volume has been edited by Dr. Sorin Cristoloveanu, Research Director of CNRS and Grenoble INP, Dr. Andreas Wild, former Executive Director of the ECSEL Joint Undertaking, and Prof. Dr. Dan Dascalu, member of the Romanian Academy and the President of the Commission for Science and Technology of Microsystems.
All the authors, including Mr. Daniel Lapadatu, are belonging to industrial, institutional and academic research organisations located in Europe. The experimental work is dominating the research reported in this book. Part of this work is done in Romania at the level of well-equipped laboratories, sometimes in co-operation with European partners. This volume illustrates the idea that, despite the disappearance of the semiconductor industry, Romania is still active in this high-tech domain, specifically by research in niche areas.
This book launch was part of the EXCELNANO (European Excellence in Nanotechnology) group of events organised between 6 and 7 November 2018 by the Commission for Science and Technology of Microsystems of the Romanian Academy in partnership with the National Institute for Research and Development in Microtechnologies - IMT Bucharest.
